French Film Days #3
Cinema – 11th of November
On November the 11th, the Alliance Française de Malte-Méditerranée welcomed a lot of people at Spazju Kreattiv Cinema for the third screening of a French movie of the 2020-2021 season. This month we chose to screen «Cyrano my love», a film based on the life of the French famous playwright Edmond Rostand.
Synopsis
December 1897, Paris. Edmond Rostand has not written anything for two years. Out of desperation, he offers the great Constant Coquelin a new play, a heroic comedy, in verse. Edmond starts writing this piece in which nobody believes. For now, he has only the title: “Cyrano de Bergerac”.
