The Alliance Française boasts a board of about 15 teachers. We welcome French native teachers as well as Maltese teachers, all highly qualified to teach French as a foreign language. Our young and dynamic teachers meet the high standards required by our institution. We ensure the quality of our courses by providing regular training sessions, both with local trainers and foreign experts in the field of teaching French as a Foreign Language.
In September 2019, Isabelle Colin took over the direction of the Alliance Française Malte-Méditerranée, after several years spent on the Board of Directors as Vice President.
Passionate teacher, she has been teaching for 24 years in Malta, at Saint Paul’s Missionary College in Rabat. Her commitment to the proper functioning of the Alliance Française motivates her every day to find the best possible solutions for our our learners and members. She spearheads the partnership with the cultural center Spazju Kreattiv to create the French Films Days, to spread French culture and values in Malta through cinematography.
Her motto? Ensure that the Alliance Française remains a place of excellence and conviviality!
The board of directors
The Board of directors decides and plans the main policies of the Alliance. It is composed of six to ten members, elected every two years by the members of the Alliance Française de Malte-Méditerranée. Emphasizing the close links between the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Alliance Française, the honorary President of the Alliance Française de Malte-Méditerranée is the Ambassador of France to Malta, H.E. Ms Agnès Von Der Mühll. Under the terms of an agreement between the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the French Embassy in Malta and the Alliance Française de Malte-Méditerranée, Ms Marine Debliquis, Cultural Counsellor of the Embassy of France in Malta, is ex officio a member of the Board.
Throughout the year, the Alliance Française de Malte-Méditerranée welcomes several interns, gathered according to their specialisations.
