What is Beaujolais Nouveau ?
Beaujolais Nouveau is a red wine made from the Gamay grape variety and produced in the Beaujolais region of France. It is a primeur wine, fermented for only a few weeks before being released for sale on the third Thursday of November. Distributors engage in a race to get the first bottles to markets around the world.
