European Arthouse Cinema Day

The Alliance Française de Malte-Méditerranée is proud to have collaborated with Spazju Kreattiv Cinema to join thousands of cinemas around the world for the fifth edition of the European Arthouse Cinema Day, to celebrate European cultural diversity through films.
Among other great european movies, the Alliance Française de Malte-Méditerranée contributed with the screening of Les courts des Grands / Short films from the great French directors.
It was a great opportunity to discover short films created by great French directors, especially known for their feature films: Tati and his burlesque approach; Eric Rohmer, one of the famous figure of the French New Wave ; Olivier Assayas widening the field of vision of French cinema; Kassovitch , winner of 3 Césars with his movie La Haine and Pierre Salvadori, expert of romantic comedies; Michel Gondry, winner of an Oscar in 2005 and Alain Guiraudie, passionate about the south-west of France.
