EUNIC and the Alliance Française

The Alliance Française de Malte Méditerranée is proud to announce that it is now part of the EUNIC Malta Cluster!

Through culture, EUNIC strives to build trust and understanding between the people of Europe and the wider world

EUNIC MALTA

What is EUNIC? 

EUNIC is the acronym for the European Union National Institutes for Culture. This institute is a European network of organisations for cultural relations and events. Eunic is composed of 132 clusters in 102 countries worldwide.

Clusters are the network’s branches, engaging in cultural relations and activities with partner organisations. The Malta Cluster aims to carry out this mission on the islands of Malta.

Who are the members of the EUNIC Malta Cluster? 

The Alliance Française de Malte Méditerranée is a proud member of this european cultural institution. The French Embassy in Malta also takes part in this project along with:

  • Arts Council Malta;
  • The Embassy of Austria for Malta;
  • The Italian Cultural Institute;
  • The Embassy of Spain in Malta;
  • The British Council in Malta;
  • The Embassy of Poland in Malta;
  • The Embassy of Hungary.

When was the Malta Cluster created?  

The launch of the EUNIC Malta Cluster occured on July 2nd. However its first event is the European Film Festival, from November 9th to November 14th, as explained by the Times of Malta. Malta’s Centre for Creativity in Valletta, Spazju Kreattiv Cinema and EUNIC present nine films whose main theme shall be sustainability, whether social, economic or environmental. The Alliance Française de Malte-Méditerranée is the organizer of three events including the Masterclass with Patrice Leconte and the last screening at Spazju Kreattiv Cinema.
