Cello and Harp concert

Music lovers, this is for you! Come and join us on Thursday 1st December for a Cello and Harp concert organised by Din l-Art Helwa at St John’s Cavalier, the embassy of the Sovereign Military Order of the Knights of Malta in Valletta. The programme will include works by J.S. Bach, C. Saint-Saens, P. Tchaikovsky, F. Schubert, and J. Massenet performed by Julie Sévilla Fraysse on cello and Anne Marie Camilleri Podesta on harp. The concert will be followed by a lavish reception by Osborne. St John’s Cavalier will open its doors at 7pm, half an hour before the concert begins.

Julie Sévilla Fraysse :

French cellist, Julie Sévilla Fraysse is an eclectic artist who performs as a soloist at international level, while devoting herself to orchestral and chamber music. She is a member of the Orchestre de l’Opéra de Paris and artistic director of the humanitarian association CoCreate Humanity. Julie represents both the best of the classical heritage and the gift of modernity.

Anne Marie Camilleri Podesta :

Anne Marie Camilleri Podesta started playing the harp at the age of twelve and has been a member of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) since 1998, performing in prestigious concerts in Malta and abroad, including Carnegie Hall in New York. She has recorded works with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, the Ġukulari Ensemble, as well as solo pieces. Anne Marie has performed with many orchestras, including the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. She performed a world premiere entitled Ġesti, composed by Professor Charles Camilleri, at the Ninth World Harp Congress held in Dublin in July 2005. She is the Maltese correspondent of the World Harp Congress.
